Additional Pension Contributions (APCs) is one of the choices you can make to increase your pension benefits in the Scheme.
You can choose to make a one off contribution or make monthly contributions deducted from your salary based on your age, repayment period and the amount you wish to buy.
This year the maximum amount of additional pension that can be purchased is £7,026 (2019/20). The amount that you buy is revalued in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) every year. The calculation factors used to work out what it costs you to buy extra pension are reviewed from time to time.
