The EAPF is unique in it’s the only Fund in the LGPS fund which isn't a local authority.
The EAPF actually consists of two LGPS funds, an active fund and a closed fund. The closed fund manages the pension of former employees of the water companies before privatisation.
It's a small team and acts as a very professional centre of expertise with outsourced benefits administration for about 39,000 members and investment fund managers with around £4 billion assets.
