Who do I contact about in-house AVCs?

• Start an AVC with Standard Life – to start an AVC, you’ll first need to download and complete a Group AVC form from www.adviserzone.com/adviser/public/adviserzone/resourcecentre/literature/corporatemorecorporateproducts/gavc.
  Then email it to service_gp@standardlife.com (though please don’t complete the part on making ‘single lump-sum payments’ under part 2, as you’re not allowed to do this under the pension scheme).
• Standard Life tend to send out a booklet with hundreds of fund options. We’ve included the fund codes in our Topping up my pension factsheet that are available through EAPF.

Once you’ve sent your form to Standard Life and received approval with a reference number, please note it’s your responsibility to ensure that payroll (SSCL) is aware of this, so they can action your request. To do this, you’ll need to raise a service request through SOP (Create Service Request/Pensions/Pension Administration) and ask them to deduct the AVC you wish to pay to Standard Life and the date you’d like to start it.

Please note that your payments cannot commence without your written instruction to SSCL or for NRW, your payroll department.

Step 1 (SSCL) - If you’re an Environment Agency employee, to amend your AVC you’ll need to raise a Service Request (SR) in SOP.

• If you haven’t raised one before, please visit 'EA MyHub' which explains how to raise an SR. You’ll find ‘EA myHub’ at https://ea.myhub.sscl.com/sop-system-and-support/how-to-submit-a-service-request-using-my-service-requests.
• If you’re an NRW or SSCL employee, please contact your payroll department to make an amendment.
• In addition, you can view details of your AVC account online, and you can register for this by going to www.employeezone.co.uk quoting the Scheme number (H93026) and your membership number (shown on your joining certificate or your latest annual statement).

Step 2 (Standard Life) - The easiest way to change your investment funds would be online at https://online.standardlife.com/secure/customer-authentication-client/customer/login, if you’re registered for online access.

• Alternatively, you can call Standard Life on 0345 606 0159.
• Standard Life won’t be able to accept an instruction in an email however, you can complete a form and return this by post or email to service_gp@standardlife.com. Your form would need to be password protected, with the password provided separately, to enable Standard Life to process. You can download a form from https://library.standardlife.co.uk/gpen36.pdf

• Please contact the EAPF pensions team at Capita by email at info@eapf.org.uk or call 0800 121 6593.
• If you have a non-LGPS AVCs that you’d like to transfer to the EAPF, Capita will also be able to tell you about your options.

To amend an existing AVC with Clerical Medical and/or Utmost Life (formerly Equitable Life):

• Contact the EAPF pensions team at Capita by email at info@eapf.org.uk or call 0800 121 6593.
• Please note that, if you don’t already pay AVCs to Clerical Medical and/or Utmost Life, you can’t start a new AVC with them.
