You can work out an estimate of your individual pension benefits, based on your own personal details by using our ‘Retirement Illustrator’.

It also lets you estimate your own pension and calculate reductions if you’re thinking of retiring early. You can also download and print these out to help with your pension planning.

To use the Retirement illustrator' you’ll need to log on to your secure EAPF Online account.

If you haven’t yet registered for EAPF Online all you need is your National Insurance number and a valid email address. 

If you're registered but have forgotten your password, you can use our ‘Reminders’ option on the EAPF Online homepage.

To help you understand how your pension account works from April 2014 you can use the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Pension Account modeller. This calculator provides generic information on how a pension builds up from April 2014. Use the LGPS Pension Account modeller.

To buy additional pension contributions (APCs) within the LGPS, or to buy lost pension due to a period of absence you can use the 'Buy Extra Pension' or 'Buy Lost Pension' calculators on the LGPS website. Use the LGPS additional pension calculators.

How much will you pay?

You can work out how much you’ll pay out of your weekly or monthly wage in contributions to the Scheme. Use the LGPS Contributions calculator to work out how much you’ll pay.

What is my state pension age?

To find out your state pension age you can visit the Gov.uk website.
