Since 2015, the EAPF is required under law to also have a Pension Board. The Board helps the Pensions Committee in ensuring that the Fund is well managed and that it is meeting all regulatory requirements. The Pension Board usually meets once a year and we publish the minutes of these meetings which you can access by visiting our Minutes page.

The law requires there to be equal representation on the Pension Board between employers and members. As this is already the case in the Pensions Committee, the Pension Board is made up of the existing members of the Pensions Committee less 2 Executive Directors from the Environment Agency and less 2 EA employee members.

The Pension Fund Management Team supports the Pensions Committee and Pension Board by supervising the day to day operation of the EAPF.

More information on the management of the Fund can be found in our Governance Compliance Statement.

For information relating to the ongoing stewardship of the Fund, please see our Investment Section of the website.
