Protecting your loved ones financially in the event of your death is one of the most important benefits of being a member of the EAPF.

If you die in service whilst you’re a member of the LGPS, a lump sum death grant of three times your Assumed pensionable pay is payable.

You can decide whom you wish to receive your lump sum death grant by completing a nomination form. The easiest way to do this is via EAPF Online, your online personal pension portal that lets you manage your pension. It’s really easy to register for your account; you just need your National Insurance number and personal details.

Remember to make sure you’ve got an up to date nomination in place and that you review it regularly to take into account any changes in your circumstances.

You’ll find more details about death benefits on our website in the Death and Dependants section.

Nominate your loved ones online!
