In February, we asked for your views on responsible investment. We had a great response with over 2,600 of you taking part in the survey.

We were really encouraged to see that you share our passion for investing responsibly. You’ll find the results of the survey on our website. Despite a global pandemic, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to ask what you want your £4billion pension fund invested in.

Through the last 2 weeks of July, we ran an online ‘EAPF RI Community’ where those who joined in, got to engage in activities, polls and see some really interesting videos – and most importantly share their views. Some also took part in one-to-one interviews where we got to delve a bit deeper.

The videos even include Richard Curtis, Comic Relief co-founder, director of Hollywood film Love Actually and award winning writer of critically acclaimed films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Richard has started a campaign called Make My Money Matter, which is about making sure pension funds reflect the values of their members. When he found out about our RI community, he was happy to be involved. Watch the video.

We are still collating the important data from this to take to our Pensions Committee in September, and this will inform future discussions about our Investment Strategy.
