Since our last update, a Brexit deal has been agreed in principle with the EU.

The withdrawal agreement needs to be approved and signed by the UK and the EU. Negotiations will have to be made for new arrangements and a transition period would have to be implemented to prepare for new rules coming into effect.

The UK could still leave with no deal if the withdrawal agreement is not approved by 31 January 2020, or at the end of a transition period.
