The Government Actuary’s Department (who are responsible for providing the calculation factors for UK approved pension schemes) are currently reviewing transfer factors due to the Government’s latest Budget announcement that the discount rate used by all public service pension schemes was to change.
As a result of this the calculation of cash equivalent transfer values (CETV) out of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), the calculation of CETV for divorce purposes, and any calculation of annual pension purchased as a result of transferring into the LGPS, was suspended with effect from 29 October 2018.
Some of these new factors have now been received which means we've started our calculations. There may be some delays to anyone wishing to have a non-club transfer into our Fund as we're still awaiting non-club factors. Once these are issued we’ll process the oldest enquiries first as we clear the backlog of enquiries.
